Duties and Responsibilities

Key Skills:

  • Proven ability to maintain high server uptime and system performance
  • Timely resolution of incidents and service requests (P2–P4)
  • Accurate documentation of changes, incidents, and configurations
  • Strong adherence to operational standards and best practices
  • Experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), VMware, and Hyper-V
  • Familiarity with server monitoring tools like Dell OME, HP SIM, and SCOM
  • Proficient in managing DNS, File Server, RDP Gateway, and Print Services

Work Environment:

  • 24/7 support environment
  • 6 working days per week with a rotating weekly off

Job Responsibilities:

Server Administration & Maintenance:

  • Administer and monitor Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022)
  • Manage physical and virtual servers using VMware and Hyper-V
  • Perform server provisioning, decommissioning, patching, and backup operations
  • Handle local user accounts and manage network share permissions

Monitoring & Support:

  • Monitor hardware health using Dell OME, HP SIM, and initiate replacements as required
  • Use SCOM or similar tools for performance monitoring and alert response
  • Troubleshoot and configure services like DNS, RDP Gateway, and File/Print services
  • Coordinate with L2 support and external teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Support ITIL-based operations including incident, change, and problem management
